BTMS Road Trip: Day 5
Today is the last day before the big race for Mike and Kristi. After getting up relatively early, we headed down to the race site and got in a series of workouts to include a swim, bike and run on the course
The main objectives of the athletes was, for the swim: to get a feel for the water, the currents and sighting pictures. For the bike, get the layout of the course, to see where the winds came into play and to check and confirm the correct gearing for all uphill and downhill efforts. For the run, the goal was to check out the terrain changes and to see how much shade is available that early in the AM.
After the quick workouts, we were off to breakfast, packet pickup where Kristi picked up a quick sponsorship from Tri Clips (www.tri-clips.com) and to check in the bikes. Mike and Kristi are setup nicely in the elite rack, which is right next to the entrance from the swim.
Now we are chillin at the condo, Kristi and Mike are relaxing with compression gear on and their feet up in the air. Tomorrow should be a good day!
